Marriage / Couples Therapy

Are you and your partner feeling disconnected?
Does it seem that all you do is fight? ...Or avoid each other?
Have you tried everything you can think of to make things better?

In my work with couples, I take a collaborative and respectful approach, meeting you exactly where you are - without an agenda and without taking sides. I strive to create a safe, calming space where you can both feel heard and understood, and I'm not afraid to use a bit of appropriate humor along the way to ease tension and make tough conversations more approachable.

The most common concern I hear from couples is around communication - whether it's not feeling listened to, misunderstanding one another, or struggling to express needs and emotions clearly. Other challenges we often work through include trust issues (often related to finances or infidelity), parenting struggles, tensions with in-laws, work-life balance pressures, conflict resolution, and concerns about intimacy or feeling disconnected.

My goal is to help you slow down, understand each other more deeply, and find ways to rebuild connection, trust, and joy in your relationship.

Individual Therapy

Do you feel sad or anxious?
Do you feel like no one understands you?
Do you have a hard time sleeping because you are worrying?
You're not alone.

In individual therapy, I work alongside you in a way that's supportive, collaborative, and focused on what matters most to you.

People seek therapy for all kinds of reasons - feeling weighed down by sadness or worries, trying to heal from the pain of the past, feeling unhappy in their life or relationships, or feeling stuck and unable to move forward. Sometimes it's about wanting to understand yourself more deeply, or breaking free from patterns in your thoughts or behaviors that just aren't serving you anymore.

When we meet, there's no judgement and no "right" place to start - just a safe, calming space where you can be yourself, explore what's been getting in the way, and start creating changes that feel meaningful.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more understood, a little more hopeful, and a little more like yourself.

Pre-Marital

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life!

But what about all of the days that follow?
Are you ready for this?

Planning for your wedding is exciting! From choosing the rings, the flowers, picking the perfect music...there is so much to prepare for to make your big day romantic and memorable.

Pre-Marital counseling is all about setting you up for the strong, healthy marriage - the part that comes after the wedding day excitement fades. While planning your big day is fun, the real magic happens when you and your partner take time to talk through the things that truly matter for a lifetime together - how you communicate, handle conflict, manage money, balance family expectations, and keep your connection strong.

Research shows couples who commit to Pre-Marital counseling are about 30% less likely to divorce and often feel more satisfied and connected in their marriage. Why???

Because you walk away with tools to navigate disagreements, understand each other's needs, and work as a team when life gets messy. It's like building your marriage on bedrock instead of sand - so when challenges come (and they will!), you've already laid the groundwork to get through them together.

I accept the following commercial insurance:

     - Cigna / Evernorth

     - Kaiser (out of network)

     - United Healthcare

Please note: I do not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time.

I am an out-of-network provider for all other commerial insurance at this time. If you wish to use your insurance, I am happy to provide you with an invoice/superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider, or your flexible spending account, for reimbursement.

Prior to counseling, please contact your insurance to determine the costs that your insurance will cover.

Please note: When considering the use of your insurance for the reimbursement of services, you should be aware that most insurance companies require that you be given a diagnosis. Furthermore, if you have an insurance policy that is reviewed by one of the managed health care companies, they may want detailed information as to your personal history, drug/alcohol use, and additional information, plus the progress of treatment. Many times, health insurance companies may only authorize a certain number of sessions averaging ten or less.

Cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment.

I accept most major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

I also accept Health Saving Account cards (HSA), Paypal, and Venmo.

Sliding scale fee may be available based on need and income.

I reserve a limited number of spaces in my caseloads for clients who are unable to afford paying the full fee for services. I understand that therapy can be costly, and I feel it is important to provide affordable services to those seeking help.

If that is you, feel free to ask about the possibility of a sliding scale fee arrangement.
